Company History

While in college, James found a passion for racing where he leveraged his success as a driver to garner sponsorships and created connections with the best chassis and engine builders in the industry. He recognized the many business opportunities available in the racing world, including vinyl and screen-printing decoration. His chassis builder had an unused manual screen-printing press, so James partnered with his vinyl guy to purchase the press and the business was born. In under 500 square feet, the one manual press and a burn exposure unit, business began to boom so much so that James was selling and printing until 3:00 AM every day to keep up with demand. James’ thirst for knowledge led him to connect with another 1,000 square foot operation that they decided to merge and grow together. In 2005, the company moved into a new 3,500 square foot building, added additional presses and eventually added a 1-head & a 6-head Tajima embroidery machine to offer customers a new decoration method.

From 2007-2009, the company experienced natural growth, fueled by positive word-of-mouth among its customers. The company added vinyl heat transfers in 2007 with the goal of continuing to expand and buy new equipment. In 2009, the company experienced some hurdles stemming from a record rainfall that created a major flood in the Fall of 2009. The company had production back up and running within 4 hours, despite 2 feet of water in the building. Screen Pro Graphics did not miss a single deadline or order, regardless of having to work nights and weekends to fulfill the needs of its customers. The company leadership takes the trust of our customer so serious, and employees remain dedicated to taking care of their people. James said, “I’m proudest of this dedication that we show in the face of any and every obstacle the customer and partnership we develop is the most important thing. We made a commitment to our partners in business. At the end of the day it’s the customers’ loyalty that pays the bills.” That same year, James bought out his business partners to strive toward every goal and opportunity he saw as a true industry visionary.

In 2011, Screen Pro Graphics had its first major expansion into 14,000 square feet, more than doubling its space to make room for this growth. Presently, it is almost full, and plans for future expansions are already in the works to hold the next expansion. James networked within the promotional product and decoration industries, set up his company for success, invested in state-of-the-art technology and equipment, always with the idea to lay a foundation to build a company based on integrity, quality, a familial culture, and world-class customer service.

The company purchased new equipment in 2012, which gave a total of 19 heads in embroidery as well as 3 automatic presses and 2 manuals in Screen Printing. In 2014, James bought out his final business partner and overcame additional adversity to continue to thrive and grow based on a foundation of extreme dedication to quality and customer service. In 2016 & 2017, the company upgraded its production equipment and added additional heads of embroidery with a goal of leading the industry in its state-of-the-art technology and resulting high-quality product. In 2018 the company added another brand new 6-head to its embroidery as well as the addition of staff and management to guide the company to achieve its lofty growth goals, which continued based almost solely on word-of-mouth advertising.

Our story continues to evolve. Our reputation of excellence has recently led to the acquisition of the contract portion of Origins/Lone Star Special Tees in early 2020. Additionally, we added new equipment bringing the embroidery department to 41 heads and adding multiple brand-new heat transfer technology. The company continuously remains committed to taking care of its family of employees and customers throughout the Covid-19 crisis, ensuring staff continue to get hours and receive pay to have the ability to care for their families.
